Cleanstone was devised to transform the stone-manufacturing sector into a modern, competitive sector based on technologies with a low environmental impact. An interdisciplinary project which aims to modernise the production chain and create new levels of awareness. A trans-national collaboration between five academic, research and institutional partners, involving numerous quarrying companies from the area. It is the first attempt to integrate recycling/reuse techniques in a single framework, designed specifically for SMEs in the stone-manufacturing sector.
