The Carinthia University of Applied Sciences decided to take part of Cleanstone since it is located in an area where the extraction of rocks is one of the most important regional activities of Austria and Italy, that is why we consider that is our priority to develop environment friendly strategies to reduce the amount of secondary materials that the quarrying sector produces. We will achieve this goal by researching and suggesting which are the best practices related with the extraction, cutting, transporting, processing, recycling and disposal stage since rocks are considered as a non-renewable resource.
